For many years, Anna had worked as a graphic designer and an illustrator for accessory and publishing companies in New York. She created many licensed products for Disney, Hasbro, Barbie, My Little Pony, Care Bears and more, however Anna’s favorite projects were ones where she got to create her own original characters and graphics.
Anna has also created many illustrative logos for companies from around the world. Her logos have been featured on food products, buildings, marketing materials, storefronts, package designs, websites. Industries have ranged from child care, publishing companies, retail companies, health and fitness, to beauty and fashion, doctors’ offices, and more.
In 2012, Anna started illustrating picture books for a small press, in the city. The process of making books, from concept storyboards, to painted finishes, was an amazing experience which Anna wanted to repeat again and again. In 2014, Anna started self-publishing a variety of books, ranging from picture books and coloring books to art tutorials and novelty books. Seeing so many people buying and enjoying her books, has been incredibly validating to Anna as an artist and an author.
She has participated in local art fairs and art shows, and has been published in print and online materials, showcasing historical New York landmarks.
While working as an illustrator and graphic designer, Anna had also taught drawing classes to kids and adults, for several years. It was very rewarding for her to see different ways kids view the same ordinary objects, and the various ways they discover new mediums and art techniques. The adult classes she taught focused on providing art therapy in a fun environment, while painting after revered artists, like Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, Degas, Klimt…
Anna regularly draws from life, locally and when traveling. She loves to sing jazz standards in a duet with her pianist musician fiancé. Anna delights in discovering new places.
